The stock FZJ80 MAF sensor can be as much as 800$ from the dealer these days. however, the sensor used by the highlander/rav4/tacoma (Denso 197-6030) can be purchased for $60-180. the 80 series got the expensive sensor while the rest of the cars shipped with a cheap version.
dirty and damaged airflow sensors can cause bad mileage and poor driveability. with this part and a quick re-pinning of the sensor connector, you can have a fresh airflow sensor in your 80 series.
